Meet Our Team

Dr. Ragnell went to Texas A&M University for his undergraduate studies before graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1976. He received advanced training at Misch Implant Institute, training in anesthesia and intravenous sedation at the University of Southern California, and training in edgewise orthodontics at the United States Dental Institute. Dr. Ragnell is a member of the American Dental Association®, Total Dental Administrators, the Alpha Omega International Dental Society, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also a lecturer and surgeon on live implant surgery demonstrations. Dr. Ragnell is continuously studying continuing education courses to bring his patients the latest dental care and procedures.

Dr. Richard Ragnell DDS has practiced dentistry in Plano, Texas, for over 35 years, and he strives to provide the finest quality of dental care that he can. He also focuses on the complete health of his patients while keeping them as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Ragnell has been married to his wife, Mari, since 1988. They are empty nesters and enjoy cooking, traveling and spending time with friends. They also enjoy relaxing with their dogs, Sascha and Bodie, the Standard Poodle.

In his spare time, Dr. Richard Ragnell DDS cooks like a professional chef and enjoys cooking for people. He is also a true handyman and do-it-yourselfer. He has built his own airplane, winning awards for it, and remodeled his own home. He also creates furniture in the woodshop he built.

Kim is a registered dental hygienist who has been dedicated to her profession for over three decades. With her passion for oral health and her exceptional skills, she has been an integral part of the dental field since 1986. Her experience and expertise have made her an invaluable asset at iSmile Dental Care. Kim’s commitment to her profession is reflected in the exceptional care she provides to each patient. She loves educating patients and giving them the best care possible!

When she’s not working, Kim enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for 32 years and is the proud mother of a son and a daughter and is a grandmother to three grandchildren. In her free time, Kim loves to cook and enjoys playing World of Warcraft. She is also an avid reader and enjoys exploring different books. Kim’s dedication to her family, hobbies and profession is a testament to her strong work ethic and her ability to balance different aspects of her life!

Mari is a registered dental hygienist and business partner who has been part of the iSmile Dental Care team since 1984. After completing the Tarrant County Dental Hygiene Program, Mari joined the practice and has since been an integral part of the dental community. She is known for her exceptional skills and knowledge in the field of dentistry and her dedication to providing the best possible care to her patients. Mari is part of a supportive team, and she thrives in an environment where everyone is working together towards a common goal! She is passionate about dentistry and takes pride in contributing to the practice’s success.

In her free time, Mari enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, son, daughter-in-law, two granddogs and two rescue dogs! She loves to read and is also an avid gardener. She enjoys traveling and exploring new places, and her needlework skills are impressive. Mari hopes her dedication to her profession and her hobbies comes through in her care for each patient.

Danneen is our practice administrator at iSmile Dental Care, and her passion for the dental industry started back in 1991. After obtaining her RDA, she has been dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients and improving their overall dental health. In 2014, Danneen joined iSmile Dental Care, where she has contributed to our success through her exceptional patient care and financial expertise. She takes pride in helping patients understand their dental needs and available financial options, ensuring that they make informed decisions about their dental health. Danneen appreciates the quality dental work provided by Dr. Richard Ragnell and is proud to be part of a team that is committed to delivering exceptional care!

When she is not working, Danneen enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her two sons, daughter and three grandsons. She finds joy in outdoor activities, such as hiking and walking her one-year-old Goldendoodle. Danneen also loves watching Hallmark movies and enjoying their heartwarming stories. Danneen’s warm and welcoming personality is reflected in her passion for helping others, and she invites everyone to join the iSmile Dental Care family!
